The Prime South GME Consortium will host its 2026 White Coat Ceremony on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Knapp Medical Center Conference Center.
The ceremony will honor incoming PGY-1 residents across four residency programs affiliated with the Consortium: the Family Medicine Residency at Mission Regional Medical Center, the Internal Medicine Residency at Harlingen Medical Center, and both the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency programs at Knapp Medical Center.
The White Coat Ceremony is a nationally recognized rite of passage in medical education, symbolizing the formal entry of new physicians-in-training into clinical practice. For Prime South GME Consortium residents, the occasion represents the start of their commitment to serving patients and communities across South Texas.
The event is open to invited guests and members of the medical community.
