The FIRST Mako SmartRobotics arm for knee replacements in the Rio Grande Valley! This world-class technology is the first of its kind, within a millimeter of accuracy.
Harlingen Medical Center is the FIRST and ONLY hospital south of Corpus Christi providing this exceptional and precision-driven surgery to our residents of the Rio Grande Valley.
Mako uses a 3D CT-based planning software that helps the surgeon to create a surgical plan personalized for each patient’s individual needs. By helping to guide the surgeon in performing precision cuts, Mako’s AccuStop™ technology can reduce the amount of cutting that is required during surgery, preserving more healthy bone.
